First, Happy Thanksgiving. I am glad you found most of what you were looking for in your Thanksgiving shopping. It can be quite difficult fulfiling those American tastes here in Dublin.
I just discovered your blog yesterday when searching for ideas for Sunday brunch. Your brunch post rang in my ears as your experiences here mirror ours. (My girlfriend, whom I met here, is American, and we have lived here for around 4 and 5 years, respectively.)
It sounds like you are still discovering some of the rare good spots in this lovely-but-frustrating country. Perhaps we can point you toward a few gems you might have missed.
I hope your girlfriend was able to enjoy Thanksgiving. Hands down Gruel is our current favorite place for brunch. I'm happy to hear any suggestions of other places to explore in Dublin!
Another year in the life of Kim! The best thing about this year is that 'long distance relationship' is no longer a label option! You can find my first 365 blog here.
Looks very yummy!!! :)
