I've passed this stained glass window everyday for a year and today the sun was shining through a back window to illuminate the front window. After an interesting exchange on Facebook this morning (which I may blog about on my regular blog), it made my heart smile.

A lovely sunny day in Dublin!

This new cat litter sucks.

The best thing about working out at home is you can dress like an idiot and there is no one there to judge.

This post box is from King Edward VII who reigned from 1901-1910, so a bit older than the last one I posted.

This taco salad was the best thing that happened to me all day. I was ridiculously excited about it.

Now that the ice and snow is over, the Council is spreading salt all over the city. I guess keeping the reserves until they're actually needed would be a crazy idea.

Post box from the reign of George V. Erected between 1910 and 1920 in Ireland.

I published my new blog today, but the dashboard is a bit disconcerting.

Liz and I went to Brown Thomas today and tried on fancy schmancy sunglasses. That's after we looked at fancy schmancy shoes. Trying on fun glasses is one of my favorite things to do. This pair was definitely a hit. They looked better on Liz than they did on me. Liz said I looked like I was going skiing, but I thought I looked like a dog with droopy eyes.

All fixed!

So much for not getting anything new at the library this time! I ended up renewing a book I already had, Wes gave me a book, and Liz gave me another one so I figured I'd catch up on those first. But then I was in the library and they ended up having the last two books of the 44 Scotland Street series. Plus, I still wanted to get one that deals with Ireland (bio, subject, or author), so I HAD to stop and get something! Oops!

My pack mule...I mean...husband.

Thank you, drunken Dublin assholes.

Mii on Wii! Liz and I had our first tournament today. I'm at a bit of a disadvantage since she's able to practice! Oh, and I'm not sure why I picked this hairstyle for myself. I haven't worn my hair in two ponytails in, oh, 30 years.

A very jet-lagged husband and a very happy cat. Back to the regular routine!

Wes has been in Malaysia for the past week and he's back tomorrow. He's not too impressed with the food he's been eating. Apparently there are not enough calories in it. This can only mean he'll come back thinner than when he left. *sigh* He'll be back around lunch time and no surprise to me he requested burgers and chips for his 'welcome home' meal. I'll make broccoli salad to go with it in an attempt to health it up. Anything for my man!!!

Liz and I went to the movies at noon. This is how many people go to the movies at noon. Well, a few more did show up. Unfortunately, the couple two rows behind us felt it was an opportunity to make up for lost time.

P.S. - Wait for It's Complicated to come out on DVD.

What!? What do you want!? Leave me alone! It's cold and I'm trying to sleep!

Waiting for the LUAS next to the snowy The Four Courts (Ireland's equivalent to the Supreme Court). And yes, thanks to the announcer on the LUAS, I can say 'The Four Courts' in Irish. :)

My new MBTs might be ugly, but they are GREAT in the snow!

Friday 8 January 2010

273/365

This might be my favorite 365 picture ever. Six inch stilettos on ice covered sidewalks. People were twittering as she passed, then people laughed at me when I pulled out my camera. It was totally worth it.

Thursday 7 January 2010

272/365

Ugh, I am so over this. Not to mention it looks like it could kick off again at any moment!

Wednesday 6 January 2010

271/365

I had to get a picture because we figured no one would believe that we saw one. This, my friends, is a salt truck in Dublin.

Tuesday 5 January 2010

Payin' bills. Blech.

Monday 4 January 2010

Prepare to be shredded!

Saturday 2 January 2010

Well that's one effective way of cleaning off the sidewalks since Dublin City Council doesn't do anything!
