Wes got a little something in the post today and I had the pleasure of carrying it all the way from the depot.

Wes ran a half marathon in Dublin. I didn't go with him to this one, so here he is all ready to go!

There was fog hanging low around Howth. I thought it was an island at first glance!

Our typical morning position - she has a paw touching me at all times and usually her head is rested on her leg. Co-dependent much??

Finally got a shot of the travellers going past the house! When the light changed, the horses kicked it up into a fast trot and the guy standing next to them jumped on! The photo isn't the best quality, but I took it fast. I didn't want them to see me!

I was sorting out my coins after my trip and came across one of the newer five pence coins. According to Wikipedia it's the center of the royal shield. If I had one of these before I never noticed it and I think it's pretty cool! Oh, and not sure why it shows up bronze in my photo. Don't fear, it's still silver!

I am ridiculously excited about the butter dish I bought in England.

This is Little Kitty's belly. She's been licking it a lot lately and it looked sore, but wasn't to the touch. She has always licked the hair off her belly, but this was much more excessive. I decided I was going to take her to the vet when I got back from England if it wasn't any better. I got home and it looks MUCH better! Yay for no trip to the vet!

No IKEA in Ireland means I can't purchase a pillow for my feet. Anna is nice enough to model it for me. This could be quite dangerous in an emergency!

Hmmm...this could be why the fuse flipped when the light bulb blew out. There are actually holes burned into the metal.

This is our 'local'. I know it doesn't look like much, but it's actually a really good pub. Don't be put off by the abandoned building next door, or the 'Infectious' sign. That's just an exhibit at one of the museums. They have live traditional music pretty much all day and there's a place in the back for gigs. So, I'm sure you're thinking, 'Wow, Wes and Kim are so hip! They hang out at this totally cool pub!'. We've been there once. HOWEVER, I pass it when I'm on my way back from the gym and I can hear the live music from the outside. We talk about going, but we just don't. We're cheap skates who buy our beer and drink it at home. I am planning on taking my parents and my aunt and uncle there while they're here. I need to keep up the facade of our coolness.

This is how we roll in the evening. Sometimes Wes and I switch places, but everything else is the same - Wes is drinking tea, Little Kitty is between us, and one of us is on the computer.

This is the Green Street Court House which is the Special Criminal Court of Ireland. I walk past it pretty much everyday going to and from the city centre. This court was used heavily during the Troubles and is still used today. If there is a case going on the streets around it are blocked off to traffic and there is always a Garda in the little hut to the left of the building.

The calm before the storm.....

He didn't finish the marathon because his right calf crapped out on him at mile 13. That was just the start of our insanely crap day.
