Kim and I met for dinner and drinks in Canton. I had the key lime martini and she had a creamsicle martini. They were delish!

We had 5 inches of rain in about 90 minutes. There were flash floods all over the place and as you can see, this person's backyard flooded all the way up to their house. You know they had to have water in their basement. Fortunately, my parent's house sits up a bit on a hill, so all of the water runs past their backyard in a ditch.

I have a video, but it's too large to upload. :(

Some of my American favorites! They're must-haves when I'm in the US!*

*Except the Silk creamer. It was cheaper than the other brand so I got it, but it wasn't nearly as nice. I won't make that mistake again.

Dinner with Evan....or an excuse to take a picture of that sweet plant in the background??? My mom wants to throw it away, but I won't let her because they've had it for years and it's still living. You can't throw away something that's alive!

I went to my first Irish wedding! It was lovely, even if the church was ridiculously ornate. Those crazy Catholics!

Tomorrow for Wes' birthday I'm making my aunt's recipe for 'Killer Brownies'. The recipe calls for ALL this chocolate! Yum!

Edit: Oops!!! I thought today was Wednesday and it seems to be Tuesday. I'll be making these on Thursday. I really need a job.

Today was boring, so here's a picture of a print we got as a wedding gift from friends in Bath. This is my favorite place to stand in Bath - on the Parade Bridge looking up at the Pultney Bridge. I bought another one from this same artist before I moved, but we haven't had it framed yet.

Wes is getting ready to enjoy our 4th of July 'picnic'! Oh, and the corn actually wasn't too bad. I didn't feel the urge to eat 6 ears (mother!), but I enjoyed it!

This is the closest we're going to get to fresh corn for our 4th of July celebration. Mmmm...fresh from Morocco. At least it isn't vacuum-packed like most of the stuff you see around here!

Hummus, really??? She was going nuts when I was eating my lunch, so I stuck some on my finger to prove she wouldn't be interested. She was interested!
