We did a lot of this in front of the TV today.

This one is for Geeta.

Imagine my surprise when this opportunity popped up on the Luas? You challenged me to get a picture of this hideous trend in shoes that has hit Ireland and Britain. I have to say, I doubted it would happen, but this gentleman was nice enough to model his dirty shoe on a tram pole. Unfortunately, his feet weren't freakishly long so you couldn't get the full effect.

I wore my new boots today. They were hurty. I hope I break them in soon! :-(

This is shopping in Ireland. I don't get it. People destroy the displays. A few weeks ago M&S had a sale and I wish I would have taken a picture of the carnage. It looked like a tornado flew through the store.

After 2 hours, 5 grocery stores, and 2 Asian markets looking for fresh sage for dinner tonight, this is how I came home....empty handed. As I type, Wes is checking places in the city centre and so far M&S didn't have any (I even told him to check for dried). There are two other places he's going to check, but I'm not holding out hope!

UPDATE! Success at Fallon & Byrne. There is no reason why we should have to go to such a posh shop to purchase a common herb.

Wes finished his third marathon! Yay!

Wes spotted this stellar photo of the day. We typically boycott this large UK/Irish supermarket chain, but since we couldn't find chicken (yes, chicken) at the first two shops we went to we had no choice. This was a deal to be found in the toothpaste aisle. In case you can't see it in the photo, the original price of this toothbrush was 36.49. At the new half price of 44.93 it's a steal! Idiots.

I made my first salmon and broccoli pie. It was tasty!

*I promise I won't post anymore food pictures for awhile!

Another one for my mom - I made Paris Chicken for dinner. Wes really liked it. He asked where I got the recipe and I said it's an ol' Sproat Family Favorite! :-D

We bought our Christmas stockings today!

We went to the Botanic Gardens today because I needed to see some fall foliage. This building is where they kept the orchids, the rain forest, and the succulents. I'm looking forward to going back in the spring when more things are blooming! I will be posting more pictures HERE.

Found these pretzels at the posh shop in town. They aren't as good as Snyder's of Hanover, but they're pretty darn good.

Even if I don't get the job, at least I looked good!

Most expensive piece of paper ever. Had to get a new graduation certificate since the Home Office kept my original when they issued my last UK visa.

Worked on my presentation all day. Had my evening coffee from this mug in the hopes of getting some good karma!

We never use our microwave, but it sits on our counter taking up space. I actually stopped for a minute and looked at this little sticker on the door. I can honestly say I've never seen a potato warning on any other microwave I've ever had!

Little Kitty enjoying some sunshine on her scratcher. Too bad she rarely uses it to scratch her claws and prefers the rug 3 inches in front of it. Also, ever since Obie died she never goes in her Schnug anymore to sleep. She sniffs it, but never goes inside. :(

Enjoying pints of Paulaner and bretzels (not sure why everyone else calls them pretzels) at the Oktoberfest! We also enjoyed German sausages and Haribo candies. There was music too, but I was all about the food.

Working on the presentation for my interview.

We went to Tallaght because I needed to pick up a jacket at the shops down there. Neither of us had ever been and holy crap it was far from the center of Dublin! I thought the next stop was going to be Cork!

No need to adjust your screens...our TV has turned blue. It will usually correct itself eventually, but it's more than annoying. This will be the second TV we will have gone through in the 8 months Wes has been in this apartment. Our first one blew up, smoke and everything. Now this one is blue. We blame the crap electrics in our flat.

It chucked it down all day today, but we were treated with a lovely sunset.

I told Wes it would be nice if he picked up a treat for dessert. He decided to go totally hog wild and pick these up. I didn't even calculate the WW points, but with 20g of saturated fat, I was fairly certain it would be through the roof! The kicker is we weren't even really impressed with them, so it wasn't even worth it in the end.

Ireland is FINALLY voting on the Lisbon Treaty. The 'Yes' and 'No' signs are getting out of control! Click on the picture if you want to get the full effect.

I had to go to the G.P.O. today. It's so pretty inside, which is an unexpected surprise when you come in off of crappy O'Connell Street.
